ALCON,

My name is Richard. I'm an American, living abroad. I'm ex-Army, and was volunteered for a tour in lovely exotic Iraq. I'm also a History major with a 3.7 GPA. No, that does not make me an expert, but it does allow me to share a few things with you guys.

Here's where I stand:

I don't know what's going to happen. I look at everything through a "History lens", and it seems that whenever there was a recipe for disaster, the ingredients always seemed to be similar.

Just before every revolution, there was an arrogant government and money problems.

Just before both world wars, there was a lot of preparation on behalf of the initiating parties. There was also a polarization of politics, where those who normally rode the fence began to choose sides.

Today, the "civilized" world is mixing together all of these ingredients. If anyone suffers a total economic collapse, that could be the spark on the powder keg. Many economists say that the collapse of the US dollar is imminent.

That, of course, is just one of many theories in circulation at the moment. For me, well, I don't need any theories to be convinced that it's time to begin prepping.

All I need to see are various governments around the world, prepping. If they're prepping, then so will I. The contingency is not important, if you are adequately prepared for all of them.

Step 1 for me and my family, is getting the hell out of Germany, and as far away from people as physically possible.

The Ruble is collapsing, and Russia as a result, is about to enter into hyperinflation. Russia has now closed its borders, and Putin is flexing his muscles. Angela Merkel has been speaking with Putin daily, but it doesn't seem to be doing much. Russians widely support Putin's actions in the Ukraine, so pulling out for him is not an option. For NATO, withdrawing the sanctions against Russia also doesn't seem to be an option. Everyone seems to be enjoying the cheap oil prices which is causing Russia to lose a lot of money, unaware that this could cause WWIII. That means that the people are going to support the sanctions against Russia.

On both sides, the people are supporting what their governments are doing - which is, indeed, a collision course.

Putin saw this coming and wanted to build a pipeline to China. It now appears that this will not happen, because it's too damn expensive. Putin has repeatedly threatened to cut off its gas supply to the Eurozone, which would screw western Europe really hard.

Historically:

Kuwait lowered its oil prices and Iraq could not compete, giving us the first Gulf War.
Hyperinflation led to the rise of the Nazi Party, and subsequently, WWII.
Hyperinflation is extremely contagious.
A food famine led to the French Revolution, and subsequently, Napoleon venturing out on a killing spree.
The New Deal worked a little, but did not cure the Great Depression.
The US's strategy toward handling a sluggish economy is killing brown people, and putting the survivors to work.

Theoretically:

Having the Euro is a lot like putting all of your eggs in one basket. Whatever chances there might have been for different currencies to do better than others when someone goes into hyperinflation, are now completely gone. The EU is becoming economically weaker, due to the brilliant socialist policies that they have chosen to follow (the housing of millions of African refugees is one of my favorites). Greece, Italy, Spain and now France are beginning to really suffer. Other EU countries are strained by having to help them.

In other words, if hyperinflation spreads, the EU economy will collapse immediately. It is not strong enough to withstand it.

Militarily, the EU is also weak. Germany, the EU's strongest economy, is also home to one of its weakest forces. Now that the 50-year commitment from WWII has passed, the US has withdrawn a major amount of the forces it had there. Germany has not compensated for the lack of "protection". The Rhineland, home to Germany's industry, would undoubtedly be Putin's 1st priority in the event of another war. The entire European continent depends on it. If anything happened to those factories, it would create a domino-effect that would bring the Eurozone to its knees.

Those are my thoughts on the Russians.

I'm from Alabama myself. Roll Tide. If there's anything about communications you'd like to know, ask away. That's my specialty.

Generally most folks I associate with are terrified at the way the EU has turned in only a few short years into the EU and it is an undemocratic, unelected repressive socialist nightmare that is constantly overruling sovereign nations laws, The EU is becoming the EUSSR and instead of tanks and AKs its using lawyers and traitors.

The EU has not signed off its OWN accounts for 19 years and multi billion pound corruption flourishs in the EU, some folks who try to expose the frauds and scandals have been sacked and one at least has been bumped off. They kept promising EU wide LIBERAL reforms such as the easing of gun control laws across the whole setup BUT what they actually did was cherry pick the most REPRESSIVE gun control laws. The EU is disarming the public the way the Nazis did, and encouraging sovereign nations not only to downsize their own armies but to pass command and control of them over to the EU (not NATO).

We think Russia wants to rebuild its own sphere of influence including Poland, Ukraine, Baltic states etc but theres no benefit for Mad Vlad (The modern Russian version of George Bush :) ) in moving west because he already exerts massive influence and control over Germany, France etc

The cancer of socialism is eating away at the very core of everything we Brits fought so many wars for.

Exactly. That, to me, looks like preparation. The EU is ahead of schedule, I think.

The US seems to be preparing to fight a war against its armed citizenry. A lot of police are being trained against "constitutionalists", if you can imagine that kind of insanity. I'm beginning to wonder if "liberalism" is just a front for "hostile seizure of politics and daily life".

The only bit I cannot quite grasp yet tis that after so much crap from the US Federalists and their plans for a police state is that places like TX , OK and the North Western Tri states have not ceded from the union.

TX can, legally. The thing is, they are so economically integrated that if they did, it would be a 3rd World country overnight. Sovereign, yes. But also like Congo.

Yeah, well, I think of it like this:

When you spend $billions creating the Department of Homeland Security, and $billions more militarizing police departments and increasing airport security, and $billions more on an NSA program that spies on every person in the world, and $billions more passing new laws and new regulations that allow for it. . . all in the name of "stopping terrorism". . .

And then, you don't catch one single f---ing terrorist. . .

Chances are, it's probably not about terrorism at all.

Kinda like how the "War on Terror" in Iraq and Afghanistan, suddenly became "Operation Iraqi Freedom" and "Operation Enduring Freedom". We just kinda changed our minds about why we went there.

any way we look at it...it's going towards SHTF and in rapidly increasing speed,me personally I worry about mad-Vlad,when their economy sucks big time he'll probably do what A.Hitler did,as he talks like him already, start a war to boost his economy and give his subjugated people the feeling of being strong and powerful.
living this close to them and having a government in denial gives me the shivers...

Welcome!

Many economists say that the collapse of the US dollar is imminent.
I'm more worried about the Russian's currency at the moment. It's falling faster than Obama's approval ratings.
