Florida is still in it's dry season but we have gotten more rain than usual this year. Nowhere near enough though. Prediction is for our rainy season to ramp up earlier than usual this year. Hope they are right. This part of the state isn't usually isn't in full blown rainy season until mid-June.

Looks like some rain today. And possible snow Saturday through Tuesday. Usually our last snow is in June.

Unfortunately, yes it does. My dad had the same problem in Bristow, OK. After only 25 years, the floorboards were turning into powderpost. He needed to get under the house and replace each one and then tear the upper floorboards out and replace them also. They dried too fast in the OK hot summers and he did not have enough ventilation.
BTW: he got lucky...While on a week long fishing trip to Lake Jackson, TX, someone broke in, stole his guns and valuables and set the house of fire to hide the fingerprints...he got his fire insurance and bought another house in OKC...
