I know zero about organizing or Operating a "Cult" or whatever name you prefer to dub it. (Agree with Jim, the "Cult" term I find a bit disturbing). I am looking at this hopefully from a common sense standpoint. I am all about being involved with comunity of like minded individuals supporting one another, all of their own free will, each having their role/contribution in the group to offer for the good of all concerned.Great offer. Thanks.
I'm afraid that if this is a covert minion aqusition attemp, I'm not too receptive towards manipulation. Just saying. I'm a bit of "stick in the mud" sometimes.
I'd be hugely intersted in learning for you, though.
Where are you based?
I'm a total peasant atm and have a couple of other responsibilities that I don't really want to leave un-attended to.
Do you have any suggestions of methods where I can learn from your experience without taking part directly?
Thanks for your message
I do not think anyone here is about manipulation of anyone, whether they currently run or are invoved in such a group or not. One thing I am pretty sure about is there will be a need for leader/s. (strong, more knowledgeable, experienced leader/s). Not to squash your dreams but realistically you are not in a position to start out initiating or especially trying to lead such a group ("Cult")...Really revealed by your own words stated above (As well as other admissions in your posts).
Also, I am pretty sure, being leader or follower (prefer the term supporter), Bringing your "Boots and gloves" are going to be involved. If you are not willing to or don't have the time to put in the committment, the work, gain the experience, and learn to follow/take direction, I can't imagine your idea being anything more than a delusion of grandeur. Those are some basics for success with most things in life.
Jim and everyone here has given you good advice...(Mine is just my 2 cents from observation). Maybe start by trying to get out of the "Mud". Not to say you can't ultimately make it happen, but it sounds like you have a long ways to go. If there ARE any such groups in your area, seek them out, determine if they are a fit for you, see if they will allow you to join, but for sure be prepared to bring those "gloves and work boots"...and learn.
@Helen Back-gets full credit for that one! "Great post, new member. I have a cult. You should come here and see how it is run. Bring your gloves and work boots." ;-)
