My phone has been going crazy with flood warning messages all day. Street flooding all over. I'm on the south shore of the lake so PP and I have been going through the same thing, only I get it first.

I'd rather be fishing. But the water in too high and muddy. When we get home I'm going to pull my boat out. I need to rewire the trailer lights. That dang dog pulled all the wiring out trying to catch a chipmunk.

My Hunny has rewired multiple trailers while our pups were growing up. That is something we learned to have on hand for just this type of thing. We actually learned it during Alexandra's pup years and our boy's now just confirm. . . Chewing wires maybe an Akita pup thing.

In my area, I saw that a tornardo came thru a few cities away and some places had a lot of rain, up to 8 inches. My local area had maybe 6 in.

I lived in snow country.
I lived in tornado alley.
I will take my chances in earthquake country.
Wildfires scare me.
No place is perfect.

I grew up in Dixie Alley. The density of tracks on the map is higher there than anywhere in Tornado Alley it is just a smaller region.
But personally I have had a lot more damage from hurricanes (3) than from tornadoes (2). I did not live near the coast.
