Haha riden. They were standing under a bush trying to stay dry. The moms took the chick into the apartment. It would have drowned her, it was so hard. I have about 6 inches of sand in the run though.

We keep many inches of sand in our run too. Much easier to shovel out every three months! Helps keep the smell way down too.
 
We're up to 106º at 5pm. The humidity is awful today, too, making it like daggers afire stabbing you when you step outside in the sunshine. The guy doing some minor roof soffit/eave work for us for the last week had to go home at 3pm today. He around 56+ and just couldn't take it anymore. Of course, if he got her at 7am instead of 8:30 and some days 9 am, he would be working in cooler temps IMHO. Our last contractor used to come at 7am and knock off at 3:30-4pmeverytday, but sadly they went out of business this past year.
