DD: just do your best to get thrown out by the lawyers of the defendent. Look mean at them, answer their questions like you already do not like his/her face and get tossed out the pre-trial selection......
around here 75% just ignore the summons - if you are a single parent or making a paychek you can just simply send back a hardship excuse note .....
Nowadays probably just tell them you are NOT a democrat..

OMG I get picked for jury duty more than any human being I know! One time I was up for a trial where they asked me a question if there was any situation where a 34 year old man was justified having sex with a 14 year old girl. On that one I was escorted out the front door of the courthouse. Seems they were not fans of public castration. Imagine that.

I've been called for jury duty several times over the years. Its part of our civic duty as citizens in this country. I dont understand why people would want to get out of serving.
I was called last year and served on a trial. It was the first trial in this county in several years.

I can't because of Clay. I have to be available at all times, plus I have to pee every 10 minutes.
I served on a jury for part of a day once. The Judge and the defense lawyer got into an argument and the judge dismissed all of us. I would like to be on a jury again. Duty and responsibility. My wife is currently summoned to be on 2 juries. Local and federal. She doesn't want to. If you ever want to get out of jury duty just let it slip that you believe in jury nullification. You'll be out of there in a hurry.
Some may say it's overkill, but why not take all precautions when it comes to food you may need to live on. I'm a big fan of vacuum packing.(Long Term Food Storage) Is it better or more beneficial if i vacuum seal down all my food packs before mylar bagging over the top with oxygen absorbers? Bulk Oats is first on my list guys.️
I hope the BLM never gets around to demanding the whole "judged by peers" >>> the vast majority of the perps are black and no blacks show up for jury duty - they get judged by the duty minded white older crowd ....
had a local incident years ago in the adjacent county - same thing but even worse with the blacks ignoring the jury summons >> usual Monday start of jury selection - call up 3-4 dozen from the holding pen - all black - not a single white - same thing in the other courtroom(s) - holding pen is all black >>>> start investigating the clerks office that sends out the summons - new young black girl employee rigged the computer used in the selection process to only use zip codes for the county's black communities .....
