Made potato soup and cornbread to enjoy while watching the snow.
just mashed potatos and home-made chicken nuggets in a shake-and-bake style with my own spice mix. Moonshine and red wine and looking at a full moon at 25°F outside...clear sky and probably will get colder tonite.
The trees are turning white from the snow. Not as thick as last Thursday, but I'll take it.

We have about eight inches of snow and about 1/4 inch sleet on top of that. The power went out at 6:30 am, still out, it’s white , quiet and peaceful.
We have 1.5. Were supposed to have 3 to 5 inches. Im happy, but jealous of you. Except for the power outage. My son get nervous.
I think this was early in the day - people were heading that way for the 2pm gate opening >>> more blockage than traffic control - couldn't be any worse than the one Twin City Rally where they were seizing pit toilets ....

Hunny didn't take anything out to defrost for dinner tonight, but you inspired me!!
Made Potato Soup and only had to defrost the small package of diced ham I had put up in the freezer when we had ham on sale for .87 a lb.

School notified us that one of my son's teachers has covid. It's a very small school and Friday was a field trip with them all jammed into a small bus. We are on our protocol, so I'm cool. Plus, he has already had it once and hopefully still has antibodies.

I took an anger management class today! I have a history of slamming my fist down on my metal desk when an electronics project consumes an entire day and repeatedly fails. I just spent 3 hours aligning my frequency counter to WWV, and after learning how miserably sensitive that adjustment capacitor is, I am 100% done hitting my desk! But my cat don't care, not one bit. He just went on the shelf he knows he is not supposed to be on and knocked down the heavy plastic folding scrabble board and it landed right next to the frequency counter. I'm not checking it, so if the next radio I align is off frequency, I'm blaming the cat.

I'd had to go to our motor vehicle inspection with my little station wagon lat week. The old little thing passed, now i'm allowed to drive another 2 years. An trailer hitch is now in the papers too.
Our american friends may dosn't know something like this, the Brit's call it MOT as i know:

N January 1, we did away with vehicle inspections in TN.

Monkey Bread I made yesterday. Hubby loves it, but only eats 2 pieces a day, so I pull it apart and put 2 pieces in each zip lock bag. Then freeze them. I do that for chocolate chip cookies and other sweets I make for him.
