Yesterday I got my conceal/carry permit in the mail. My daughter and her fiancé got theirs too. Makes me feel good because they left on a trip today.
Since you're next door to me, what states should I be concerned about? Thanks. The instructor gave us the info on traveling through states that do not recognize the permits. 24 hour limits and so forth.
https://law.georgia.gov/firearm-permit-reciprocityOh course, Illinois. You NC an only stay 24 hours and the weapon and ammo have to be in two separate parts of the car.
I believe he said something about Florida too.
There are 17(?) reciprocating states that automatically recognize you home state laws.
I was basically interested in TN/KY because that's about the only places I drive. They recognize each other.
you better be able to prove the gun is yours in TN,,,,if you can not they will arrest you take your gun and you will not get it backOh course, Illinois. You can only stay 24 hours and the weapon and ammo have to be in two separate parts of the car.

bullshit it happened to me in 2004,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,FACTThat's hogwash, never had that problem in Tennessee and it's not the law. Some munipalities may do that if there not afraid of a civil lawsuit.
I bought my 45 at a gun show private sale,,,,,anywhere else and the cop would have run the serial # and as long as it was not stolen I would have got it back,,,maybe without the ammo but I would still have my 45I don't see how that can happen. When you purchase a firearm you don't get any type of paperwork showing ownership. You get receipt at the store, but that's it. A license is not required so where is the proof?
it still ticks me off to think about it.......I believe you, you was subjected to abuse of there power then. Those dirty sonsobitches!
not much you can do when the thief has a badge,,,now no matter where I go outside of Arkansas if I can not prove ownership I leave my gun at home,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,better safe than sorryYou could have filed a civil lawsuit, I doubt it would have went that far. He liked your weapon and intimidated you, abused his power and stole it from you. He is a rotten bastard LEA
