I don't know what any of that is but it sounds good.....Duck eggs are back in the Butchers. Toinight we will be having Dippy Duck Eggs with seedy bread soldiers. Simple fare but oh so good.

I've started picking asparagus from the greenhouse allready. Not a lot, just 2 or 3 stalks at a time. Great stuff to just eat raw but even better with olive oil and mozzarella cheese drizzled on it and baked a little. Hadn't thought about dipping it in egg yoke before but sounds good.I'll translate
Dippy= soft boiled
Seedy bread= wholegrain bread with mixed seeds
Soldiers= in this case toasted buttered bread cut into strips to 'dip' into the egg.
They were delicious, the yolks were nice and runny. I don't always get it right as I often overcook them.
In a few more weeks, local Asparagus will be in the shops, Can't beat it to dip into a Duck Egg.

Everything's better wrapped in bacon, except your heart health....Grill it a little first then dip into an egg, Heaven! Even better if you wrap the spears in bacon, then grill them and dip in an egg.
[emoji15] [emoji91] [emoji91] [emoji91] [emoji95]My kids were supposed to come down tonight for dinner so I made a pot of my famous (to me anyway) seafood chowder. I start with a large can of potato chowder then add some chunks of thick sliced bacon, a can of clams, some shrimp, crab, diced up roasted jalapenos and a couple large pinches of dried habanero's. And to top it off, a few dashe's of ghost pepper sauce. They didn't show up so now I have leftovers. Maybe they'll make it tomorrow.
