Also, sort of on topic but off topic - I can see this happening in Nampa. They are close to Boise, where all the southern CA elite have escaped to these big ranches - driving up prices, bringing in the same ideology. Same happening in Bozeman, MT and CdA, ID.

The thing that concerns me the most is if the country goes to an all electronic monetary system. I have no doubt the government wants it. Just don’t think we are technically there yet. But once we do change to it they will have more power over everything.

Great point! Folks need to reach out to others, or at least determine needs that can be filled by close neighbors. Do you have a list of what you absolutely will need, but know you can’t make, produce, raise or grow it? Start there and then find assets close to you.

Venezuela and Brazil are good examples of black markets flourishing too.

Well, thank goodness I changed out my central air unit to a much more efficient one. He said it would cut my heating and cooling bills in half. I can vouch for the cooling bills, they were indeed half of normal. Now will see about the heating bills.

The worse covid lockdowns and restrictions are in the USA, Europe, Australia. Chinese informations i don't trust. And as i can see at the example of Switzerland and Germany or France - those who wanna having harder restrictions are mostly from the left side and fight with all fair and especially unfair methods to keep people under an total control.
