Although aware tht acorns can be processed for consumption by humans, I have no personal experience with it. This video is a nice introduction on how to go about taking advantage of this nutritious, tasty (after leaching tanin) and free food source. She has some great book recommendations at the end, too (not her own, either).

Yes, I've seen a similar video years ago, and stored it away in my head for future 'foraging' need arising.
It's truly amazing the amount of free food that is all around us but we are completely unaware of it, and sometimes even made or conditioned to think it is a bad thing, and to get rid of it. For example, the cute little dandelion. Lots of beneficial nutrition. Just watching a 'Depression" video with recipes will give people a few ideas of food growing right in their own front, sides and back yards, parks and so on. Pretty neet hu?
Thanks for sharing this video!
