Iv watched that video online yesterday . Watched each angle from the different cameras . He did great with recognizing the threat . That comes with experience and training . He could have been more focused on getting a hit on target with His first round . Once He ducked the bad guy had time to duck under His counter then He had to reach over to get a shot at the bad guy and almost got shot in the face doing so . But enough arm chairing . He stopped the threat .

At minimum he should have done a double tap once he had a clear shot. The bad guy was clearly not incapacitated if he was able to get back on his feet and run. While he's still got a gun in his hand he is still a potential threat.

Because he went down going away, the threat was technically neutralized, so shooting him after he went down might be a problem legally and ethically. But putting two bullets into him on a double tap instead of one would not.

Agree about the double tap. He could have also shot THROUGH the counter once the bad guy dropped down. That counter is CONCEALMENT --- NOT --- COVER. Bullets would have punched right on through. Even if 1 or 2 rounds were stopped, the rest would have forced the bad guy out into the open for better shots. The good guy did good and he ended it well.
