Sky news UK is reporting that one specialist company alone in Kingston upon Hull is selling 50,000 level four personal protective suits A MONTH to NGOs, agencies, groups, charities and others. 50,000 A MONTH, they also report a shortage of suitable protective clothing available to health care professionals.

That tells me much more than all the official claptrap being spouted by official channels, time to dust off the NBC / Mopp gear methinks.

EDIT, BREAKING NEWS, Sky News 10.20AM today Sky news reports that in the last hour the orders for 50,000 level four protection suits has been DOUBLED to 100,000 suits A MONTH !!!. Now that is intel you can give serious consideration to.

and I thought I would never ever have to wear those nbc-suits after my service...but no it can't spread to europe..no..no..they say...my officials here say it's almost impossible for ebola to come here..should I trust them??? nope

With an incubation period of up to 3 weeks, and almost no testing to speak of being done at airports (and no, the current half-assed measures don't count), no, we certainly cannot trust officials to keep this from spreading just yet.

aaah, the lovely Balkans, what will they do there??

hope he/she will get proper treatment with that ebola..but it pop-ups way too easy here and there..thanks to easy traveling

i don't trust the so called government of any country when it comes to ebola..(WE) need to take our own steps to avoid getting it..

what worries me is my oldest son..he gave me the advice years ago to stock supplies every pay-day..and I know for sure he ain't following his own advice..too busy with his new lady

i know that loved ones do come first..it's good to take her out to eat.buy her flowers, and all...but like you just pointed out. stock supplies every pay-day.but in my case.i buy something when i can.it could be 1 to 5 items every 2 weeks..but then again it could be just 1 item in side a month.but at least im prepping..

Will be here in the UK by about 2 weeks; im preparing my face masks, my camping bag and my dads wood. Deciding wether to bug out or border up in a bad situation. I am doing my GCSE's so I dont want to unnecessarily go out of school however my parents are taking me out of school when cases have been reported in local towns or in our town. I'm pretty sure this Ebola outbreak will be quite devestating if it spreads to a few countries in the next month seeing as winter is coming and ebola thrives in most conditions.

good idea when it comes to your folks chris...except for doctors appt's...i plan on not taking my mom any where if/when it gets to close to town..on account it's way to easy for her to get sick as it is...

Dallas Hospital Worker Tests Positive For Ebola
"The worker wore a gown, gloves, mask and shield while she cared for Duncan during his second visit to Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital, said Dr. Daniel Varga of Texas Health Resources, which runs the hospital. Frieden said the worker has not been able to identify a specific breach of protocol that might have led to her being infected."

Just found out today that if you survive Ebola you are immune to that strain for 10 years!!!

Supposedly. I wouldn't bet my life on it though.
Basically, your blood will have antibodies in it that can fight the pathogen.
This is why one method of saving Ebola patients is to have transfusions from those who've survived it.

from what i heard on the news this morning..i have to say.their NOT properly trained for said situations, when it comes to putting on and removing the proper protective gear..so there's to much of a chance any one of them will make a fatal mistake where they catch ebola eventually....

had our first ebola suspect here..thank GOD, nothing yet..it's simply coming closer and closer..
our local "CDC" said they have plans to deal with this...only problem those plans are over 10 yrs old..they havn't been up-dated to this date..

I think if the US has 1 or 2 more confirmed cases, we can call it out of control--there'll be too many people possibly exposed to track. And we already know that our quarantine

That will be the moment the gov pulls it's head out of its rear, or we'll know that the train is headed for the end of the tracks.
