A True Doomsday Prepper
I think a lot of people are allready stocked up and/or are out of money. It’s giving stores time to restock. I know I don’t need to remind the core group here but I don’t feel now is the time to lighten up on having the pantry well stocked. This shutdown is likely to last another 8 weeks yet. I don’t know how long the economy can take this prolonged hit and I’m concerned of what happens after.
Brent coming back from the lake today we detoured through a couple small towns to look around. A couple of the smaller supermarkets had signs out front that they had restocked some and indeed we saw people pushing out full carts of potatoes and canned goods. On the flip side I think the larger Walmart, Costco and Kroger stores in the larger towns are getting cleaned out pretty regular. I still can't get stuff online at the local Walmart closest to me. The down side is that the smaller grocers don't have curbside pickup making it more dangerous to shop. Also worrisome is that I did not see one mask or pair of gloves other than the ones we had with us.
Also the Dollar Generals here seem pretty hit and miss as far as stock.
At the lake it looked like lots of people are holed up in their fish camps to ride out this storm because it is kind of early in the season.
