i noticed one thing about the tin with the sewing kit in it..looks like it could make noise by moveing around in the tin,which aint good when silence is needed..so im thinking it might be a good idea to tape or glue peice(s) of felt or some thing else to the walls and bottom of tin..

Yeah it does make a little noise.
 
only mini tin kit i have atm. is a fishing kit i put together with some basics .
bobber
30' 15 lb line
550 cord
various size hooks
zip ties
split shot sinkers
swivels
artificial bates
spinners
1 eye screw if i want a makeshift pole out of a stick or bamboo
blade from a pocket knife that broke for a makeshift spear for fish or frog or what ever else i can spear to eat!
and last but not least my tin for a container or making charcloth or whatnot.

Nice, I have a pocket kit.
It includes:
2 AA batteries
50 cm of guitar string (for snares)
A pocket knife
Aluminum foil (cooking and what not)
A candle
Box of matches
Fishing hooks (varying sizes)

Not in a tin but in a plastic ziplock (need to get and altoids tin or 10 when I get back to Canada)
