it was old out-of-date info back in 2018 - nuke tipped cruise missiles for the coasts will be the ticket - sub launched or some kind of surprise CDX container deal will be timed with the land based missile launches ...

not many single city blockbusters left anymore - probably reserved for the most hardened targets like the command & control centers and the DC evac shelters - some special designed hardened penetrator head >> everybody has MIRV heads now - supposedly small MIRV warheads are now possible for the small cruise sized missiles - pinpoint accuracy allows for these more field tactical applications ....

since January the US has a MUCH bigger problem - can you just imagine waking Biden up at 2-3 PM in the afternoon and expecting him to react to a nuke launch off the coast? - 10-15 minutes at the most - Got much more confidence in Roundheels Harris or drunk Pelosi?

haven't heard anything in the last month - but Pelosi & her Congress wanted to "share" the nuke codes - it boomeranged around Biden's competence and it got likely dropped - but the ?????s are there ....

last Prez questioned on this topic was Carter - some questioned whether his religious reluctance could put the US response in jeopardy ....

it's people like you that has both China & Russia pushing the envelope and making a nuke war more probable >>> helped bring on Biden/Obammy and the worst possible compromised situation the country & the world has ever faced ...

We just went through an episode with North Korea. Any nut in any submarine might just decide to launch. My thought is figuring out if you are downwind of a potential target. This could be a problem for you, assuming you are far away from the blast itself and deadly radiation burst. So being downwind (east) of any major city or military installation is a problem since the prevailing winds in the Northern Hemisphere are west to east. Even a detonation in Hawaii would be a problem for the West Coast. Clean nukes would be nice but those are not quite universal.

What your calling a clean nuke is relative. All nukes clean quite effectively. Just depends what you call residue.

Absolutely correct. No amount of radiation is acceptable--all radiation is harmful. There are no safe limits.

here the prevailing wind comes off the Atlantic and blows from the West to the East and sometimes North East, but always AWAY from this area.
