Thought I’d share a picture of my latest boule of Sourdough Bread I finished off baking this morning. While I’ve always loved to bake, I was not into making sourdough bread…until more recently. It is an art and science. Challenging and fun…not to mention freaking awesome to eat!

For many years my mother kept a sourdough starter in the freezer. I love sourdough bread!

Just above 0 degrees f this morning in middle Tennessee with about 8" of snow and ice on the ground . We had pancakes fried hog jaw with strong dark roast coffee for breakfast .

Made sourdough pancakes for breakfast and then had tomato cream soup with noodles for dinner

I broke my carnivore diet tonight! Aaaargg! We went out to Kabuki's Hibachi.....I had the soup, the salad with ginger dressing, the fried rice and veggies, with my steak n shrimp....plus I drank Saki, which I love! 1 cheat day! I think I'll live!

I made Tuscan Creamy Salmon with Fusilli Della Regina. If you haven’t tried this pasta made in Italy, you are really missing out!

We butchered the turkey we were given for some work I did and will be making some turkey and stuffing....

My Son said He's bringing steaks over tonight so We can grill here . Maybe He will bring his grill . I don't think I've cleaned mine since the last time I used it . Either way it should be good .

I make it all of the above. This one was made with lite okra and filé was on the side to be added for those who want it.

I threw 2 corned beef brisket's in crock pot today....ate a huge bowl...I'm sure I'll be swelled up like a poisoned dog tomorrow morning! sooo good!

I made a split pea soup. It took me over hours just to split all those peas.

PP..boy I bet your fingers are tired from shelling them peas! Lol


I broke off my carnivore diet a bit tonight...I had some prosciutto and guoda cheese, added some fresh bib lettuce and green (spring onion from garden) to the mix, no dressing, no nothing else....I'm not sorry!

At least no carbs from flour/sugar
