Basic First-aid and CPR training can save lives. This training is administered
within the first few critical minutes that can make the difference between life
and death of a loved one or neighbor and a must have in any disaster situation
and great knowledge for anytime.
Below are some FREE online training websites that offer FREE online training
for CPR only and CPR+Basic First-aid courses which include your certification
cards at a very minimal fee. They also offer re-certs and updates.
These websites offer the courses free of charge but the certficates
require a fee from $14.95 to $25 depending on the course you are taking.
These fees are well worth the knowledge you are gaining when you consider
you gain the knowledge that could help you save a life.
Back in 1986 when I first wanted to be in fire but didn't have spousal
support I stayed a mechanic but went through the REDCROSS program and
obtained my First-aid and CPR cards and kept them current through the
redcross until 1991 when I shook my spouse loose and went into fire
becoming first an emt then medic. Now just an emt I can say the pride
you gain from having the knowledge to save lives is awesome. It's not
about feeling like a hero, it's about knowing that you can make a difference
for a family in saving a loved ones life.
Who knows, after you have these certifications you may find it fits you
well and shoot for becoming an EMT. It is very rewarding.
