Finished reading the WFR textbook from NOLS. Written by Buck Tilton. It's a big version of your typical "first aid" book and it goes much farther. The end of everything is: get to a hospital. So it's not "Where There Is No Doctor," which is also an amazing book - and you can get PDFs free online.

But this is great to have handy I think. Covers all of the basics plus all of the things likely to happen in a back country trip, which happen to be similar to what to expect on a homestead.

Impaled objects, bleeding, head injuries, fractures of all kinds, safely moving a patient, altitude, hypothermia, insect bites, etc.

Belongs in the library IMHO.
