for the proverbial 72 hour crisis. Start with a small fanny pack, worn in the SOB position. Every survival item must fit in it. No cheating and putting stuff in your pockets! :) Add a cut-down 2 person SOL emergency bivvy, (the single one is far too small for a big man) with a removable, drawstring hood (blue masking tape) a seam down one side ( same tape) weight, 1/4 lb. Another 1/4 lb of bugnet, to keep off the condensation. Sawyer mini water filter, with bag. 1/4 lb. Add a folding razor blade, I"d prefer an old style all metal scalpel, but this is for cops to look into, if need be, worn on college campus and everywhere else. A zippo lighter with a couple of ranger bands around it, a Campmor whistle/matchcase, with cotton balls and storm proof matches, A little tube of vasoline. A bit of no doze and sedatives. A small tube of liquid bandage. An ACE knee wrap, a couple of condoms. 10x 2 ft of aluminum foil, 200 ft of heavy duty fishline, some metal clips for assembly a hunk of foil into a container that can be used to heat water, a wire saw, a full body bugnet, to keep condensation off of you inside of the mylar bag, some more blue masking tape (re-usable) 2 x 12 ft of clear PEVA shower curtain. A few feet of steel wire, a couple of small eye screws, a hunk of surgical tubing. A bit of duct tape, a "shaker" AA flashlight and the Campmor headband to hold it. At most 1.5 lb total.

If it's really cold, wet, etc, it makes more sense to be sitting/reclining than to be lying on the ground. A bow-knotted line around your forehead and shoulders, leaning back against a tree, some brush under your butt and feet, bracing your back. Sedatives can work wonders. Open the seam of the Mylar bag, tape a chunk of the PEVA down the seam, facing the Dakota fire pit or the Siberian fire lay. Put another chunk of it under your butt and feet. If using the Dakota pit, use a chunk of the aluminum foil on the far side of it, to reflect the radiant heat into the PEVA clear plastic and into your bivvy. Create the foil container, use it to heat water, put it into the condoms, put them on your kidneys. If you've got some good sized rocks, heat them up, not really hot, just a bit too warm to touch, and put them under your bent up legs. Sometimes, you have to be discrete about fires, especially if you are unarmed.

There is a way to carry a hot loaded P32 Keltec that survives almost all searches, btw. Because it's a locked-breech design, it can be handloaded to drive the 60 gr, aluminum jhp from the Winchester Silvertip ammo over 1200 fps, for adequate penetration, assured expansion and 200 ft lbs. Which means it's every bit as "effective" (ie, not much) as a .38 snub full of plus p 158 gr lhp's, which don't penetrate barriers worth a hoot, and dont expand reliably in flesh.k So they waste about 1/3rd of their 250 ft lbs on over penetration. This gun weighs 9 ozs, loaded. So it can't be part of this "un-noticed kit, just including it as an FYI if you're into really compact, lw kit.

The Siberian fire lay "projects" almost all of its heat in one direction. You only need a 3-log one for such a small, upright shelter. Make some modified "swedish torches" out of standing dead wood that you break off between two close-growing trees. Make them 10" or so long, and they'll be perfect for quickly igniting the Siberian fire lay. Tie 4 of such rounds (3-4" OD) together, with the wire, with some dry wood shavings and the vasolined cotton ball as an accellerant, down the center of the torch. Start a cut across one end of a round, use the digging stick as a wedge, baton it to split dead wood. split it again, and you'll be able to shave the sharp corners of 2 of the 1/4 rds to get dry wood, if needed.

Cut a green sapling, 3" OD and 2 ft long, tapering the big end, to make a digging stick, if you have to be discrete and use the Dakota pit. Dig a 3rd hole down to the pit, so you can "gravity feed" a log into the flames.

search youtube for the modified swedish torch, the Dakota fire pit, and the Siberian fire lay. I 'd give you some links, but youtube is offline right now.

info is info. If you dont want the info, dont read it. You "think" you're ready for the hell on earth that will be shtf and you can't tolerate being shown up on a forum.? Sounds like a whining little SJW to me. Run off to your safe space.

Silenced .22?

It's already pretty damn quiet. Why on earth would you want to DECREASE it's already limited speed and power with a silencer? Might as well fire a pellet gun.
