All I can say to you all here is these people that are protesting are US citizens too. They are exercising their constitutional rights over what they see as government overreach and abuse. I am not talking about looters and rioters but people that have the same rights as you. What is the old saying about ‘they came for the Jews but since I wasn’t Jewish I said nothing’. I’m hearing you condem an old man for standing up for what he believed in. What about when they come for something you care about? Are you all ok with the govt coming and taking your firearms? Would you just comply and turn them over? I have a feeling you would be out protesting. All I’m saying here is to try to look at this from another perspective folks. I don’t see there ever being a justification for hurting others that are protesting for what they see as injustice. That being said, I’m fine with shooting all the looters you want.....

When was the last time, if any, you used any form of force to detain anybody? If you can't talk from experience, it may be better to get some. Have you done any volunteer police ride alongs? Served as a volunteer jail guard? OR are you just a back set driver?

Iv been detaining and intervening in crimes and altercations for 30 years and do not work for any Law Enforcement Agency . But I do on occasion work with local Police Department with investigations .

Curious question. Are you backing Biden’s plan to take over the policing nationally? Or the plan of Minneapolis to have BLM, Black Panthers and other black groups taking over the streets?

I’m not crazy, defunding the police and letting something like the black panthers are really bad ideas. We need police. I do think we need better policing of some of them though. I understand they are human and when their adrenaline gets up it isn’t so easy to turn it down. That’s where other officers should step up. I do see a need for police reform and have no problem with some federal oversight. I’m the first to admit that I don’t have all the answers here. I do think it’s time to listen to the hundreds of thousands of real protesters though. There should be some discussions and changes, but let’s not throw the baby out with the bath water..

Yeah, getting rid of the police is a really stupid suggestion. Training them to be less rough while arresting isn’t a terrible idea though, even trump is talking about it.

I think the police should appease the BLM crowd and the mainstream lefty white community by simply withdrawing from Black and Democrat areas so they can no longer, abuse, bully, intimidate and murder the black community. Let those communities police themselves. I remember my Roman history and how as Rome became ever more civilised and tolerant the quicker it collapsed as the barbarians took advantage of the Romans weakness.

Its clear the black community do not want anything less than PREFERENTIAL treatment, and its coupled to an entitlement mentality fed to it by the socialist democrats, Let em govern themselves, reverse apartheid if you like.
