WTF? It's like my poor 87 year old mother who gets her info from ABC and CNN. I showed her the video of the Bible and flag burnings and she had never heard of any of this. I told her I wasn't surprised.

A video of the flag and bible burning in Portland?? Got a link?
Did research on this topic using the Portland Tribune search engine (the Tribune provided extensive coverage of the protest). Came up with nothing. The only article that stood out was a control burn of a house by the PFD near the Cedar Hill Bible Church. One would think that the press would be all over a flag and bible burning event, so a link would provide better context, as well as another direction of where to look. My own thinking is, is that the video is a deep fake. I've no problem with being proved wrong, provided that, that event actually happened.

He won't believe it unless CNN runs the story. But the media doesn't have the stranglehold on information they once did. There was a time if NBC, CBS and ABC didn't want people to know about something, they just didn't mention it, and so it "never happened."
Was using traditional media sources, none of which covered this event. This tells that this is first, not a deep fake. What it was, was a poorly staged black swain for fringe right media outlets. In every protest the rule of thumb that is never violated is to stage well planned events that draws the media in large numbers for maximum effect. Wasn't happening in that video..

It's been a while, but after seeing moronic posts vomiting forth from the same person, I had to search for the 'ignore' button. It feels really good to do that, the IQ of our community just appeared to go up several points. (the sad thing is that the recipient of the 'ignore' doesn't even know how many have put him/her/it on 'ignore'!)

What we're seeing here is the results of a couple generations of kids who never heard the word NO while growing up, never had chores at home, never had any responsibilities, always received praise no matter how crappy they were at something, got every thing they ever wanted without any effort on their part, internet, cell phones, parents who couldn't be bothered to get involved and went to public schools to be indoctrinated by union teachers. Basicly they are spoiled rotten children who are bored with life and have no purpose, and no jobs.
