Making fishing lures

So I decided to start making my own fishing lures, like spinners, etc. I've tied flys before but have never made my own lures.
Does anyone here have experience in making their own lures?

I have, I make some of my own for trout etc.

At one point snagging was legal for the fall run, I used to make my my own hooks.
Just realized that will be a useful in SHTF

That's a good idea. I'll have to pick up some old spoons at the thrift store in town.

The Super Duper is my favorite lure. I have caught a huge variety of fish with it. Originally, it was a tie clasp. The inventor was fishing with a tie on and the clasp fell off. He noticed the fish followed it as it spun down. He drilled a couple holes, installed a hook and bingo, he had one of the greatest lures ever made.
