The South will rise again! Just enough to piss off these libtard bigits. Don't these Democrats know they where the confederacy? They just found a better way to enslave the blacks. A way for the blacks to willfully allow themselves to become slaves and even vote for it.
All of these alternate reality stories where the Confederacy won the war completely miss the mark. Most of the revisionist history that people believe about the Civil War and Slavery is already an alternate reality. Slavery would not have lasted much longer because of numerous factors. The slave trade had already been banned or heavily restricted due to humanitarian reasons. in the South.
It's difficult to get a true picture, but you can get a glimpse of it in the Mississippi Constitution of 1832:
From Article VII Section 1:
They [the State Legislature] shall have full power to oblige the owners of slaves to treat them with humanity, to provide for them necessary clothing and provisions, to abstain from all injuries to them extending to life or limb,
From Article VII Section 2:
The introduction of slaves into this state as merchandise or for sale, shall be prohibited from and after the first day of May, eighteen hundred and thirty-three
Most of the animosity between the races was because of "Reconstruction" not because of slavery.
If they really wanted to show an "Alternate Reality" movie (that was actually true but totally different from what people believe) they should make one about Holt Collier. He was a slave that actually ran away from the plantation to volunteer as a soldier for the Confederacy. He served in the "Delta Rangers" during Reconstruction protecting the plantations from rogue Union soldiers.
He was Teddy Roosevelt's guide on the famous "Teddy Bear" hunt.
