R0, or "Basic Reproduction Number" is how many people on average will contract a disease from every person who is infected with the disease.
In other words, if 1000 people are infected with COVID-19, then those 1000 will infect 5700 people directly . Then those 5700 will infect 32,490. And then those 32,490 will infect 185,193, who will infect 1,055,600. And so on.
