Columbine High School is on lockdown

Jefferson County Public Schools have placed all schools in Columbine, Chatfield and Dakota Ridge on lockout due to a suspicious person. All students will remain inside as entry and exit are restricted until the campus is cleared.

Nothing came of it. Seems it started off as a bomb threat to schools.

“We received a phone call with a threat of multiple explosive devices inside the school here. The person claimed to be hiding outside with a gun. The perimeter was searched and secured. No one was found,” Taplin said.

But, nothing was found, so that's that.

I read that they were demanding bitcoins to not blow up the schools.

Multiple schools, multiple bitcoin accounts.

They started calling in threats here for a while a few years ago. Nothing real, all the calls were from out of state, but they weren’t trying to get bitcoin either..

That was one of the first thoughts I had until the bitcoins, entered the picture.

To clarify, as you have requested, I meant that gun owners will fire on the shooter, and make them go away, permanently. In other words, someone with a gun will fire at the shooter, and hopefully, kill him or injure him to an extent that he gives up.

Nationwide hundreds if not thousands of schools & such received the same threat. Pay $20k in bitcoin or else...

There was a single incident where a 14 y.o. was going to school with a gun but somebody called in an alert & the police intercepted him. The boy killed himself. But at least nobody else was injured.

Once they start thinking of the consequences/jail time that they'll face, they tell themselves it's better to kill them selves.
