China's modern military hasn't been tested in battle, The last major engagement was in 1962 but didn't involve aircraft or naval and only ended when the soviet union started supporting India. India has better trained pilots and navy (that also trains with Western Nations) and far better mountain fighting units which is the terrain the two countries will be fighting in, India is getting far more western support than it did in 62. In the end, it boils down to experience and that's giving the edge to India. What china has is a pretty paper tiger and what china truly lacks is individual fighters that make independent decisions on the battlefield especially with it's air force, china even admitted as such, china has almost 70 years of battlefield play books to rewrite and years of brain washing of the soldiers to rewire. Don't look at the numbers of china Vs india, it's meaningless.
India has a lot of officers and NCOs with battle experience, China does not. My money is on India.

I think it will end in a stalemate. Lots of dead on both sides and the borders will stay the same. A cease fire will be proclaimed, eventually. Both countries will puff out their chests and both will claim a face saving moral victory. JM2C

China has too many enemies in the immediate area. Don't think they could handle a two front war very well. If it gets too hot other nations will simply destroy the infrastructure and lodgeistics of the country.
