Basic fixed blades

Ronin,have just an ordinary table grinder,not the belt one,when I start to mod the blade and take that handguard away,how careful of the heat? don't wanna ruin the blade...know a belt grinder would be better,but have to make do with what I have

Just keep a bucket of water right next to you and don't let the metal dis-color, dip it when it is almost to hot to hold and then continue when you feel it's close enough use sand paper to finish it nicely.

helluwa lot better already even if it's not yet finished,small steps..small steps,but it comes out of the sheet a lot smoother even now,which can be good in a tight spot..you never know
