the saw is kinda like using a some what dull carpenters saw to cut a 2x4..i also tried a axe some what.still not sure about it thoe..but im thinking it'll be good for cutting under brush when there's not enough room to use a machete or something else...so all n all..im thinking it's strictly for camping...if not similar situation(s)...oh yeah..the compass that came with mine.no water or what ever inside of it.so compass is worthless..

P.S. the miniature utility knife..it's a lil smaller then what i expected..but yet.happy with it so far..

had to go shopping for some seeds,as from next april EU will ban/prohibit the ordinary man to grow some plants that can also be used as medicine, thanks to the pharmaceutical lobbyists in Brussels..ooh how I love those people..

yeah..great idea to stock up on the seeds while you can..i just hope that you can keep them out of sight,and/or what ever...

I personally think pot would be great for a pain reliever, calming nerves, anti naseua, and I'm sure a few other things. I would really feel bad for big pharm. if they sold less Prozac and addictive pain meds! What kind of plants are they banning?

Picked up the "the merck veterinary manual 10th edition" and "where there is no animal doctor"
After I said 'ouch' Lisa gone a head and paid for them.. Think I'll use that word more often ;)
Just curious, how much was where there is no animal dr.? Sounds like it may be a handy guide to have.

$22 on Amazon, it's a good book, strictly based on farm animals, its not a cat and dog book, very little about domesticated house pets. The merck book covers that for us though that book is like $55 for the 10th edition

among others like rosemary..peppermint,garlic,last one is still under discission...herbs that have medicinal value, but not proven 100% in some lab

they have been on a mind storm session lately in Brussels ;)

In my book, if it is good for you and it helps keep one healthy then it has medicinal value :) I like all three, peppermint has another useful purpose, dissolving peppermint in water and spraying around your sleeping area on the ground keeps critters (insects) from using you for the warmth at night ;)

like that, didn't know of that use..know now..thanks for a good tip Maverick :)

So this week, where to start.....

I found out that a large amount of our family's medical supplies is out of date. I started to put money aside for preps. Been learning quiet a bit about a few different topics.

I was at Walmart and they had the black powder supplies on sale! (End of season) I got my 50cal. Thompson center fire last year and was able to buy primers and pellets, but they were out of shots for it. This was the first time I have seen them on the shelf so I got 45 of the pointed sabots, and 40 of the 50 cal hollow points. I also grabbed 5 more arrows that were on sale too. I still haven't shot the muzzle loader, now that I have some shots I guess I need to.

We have centipede's here and they hurt and possibly take you out of action for a couple of days, the peppermint spray works except for the jumping slug then your just SOL on that one ;)

have centipede's here also but only small ones...but the bite hurts any way and I hate them..gives me the creeps..don't mind spiders, bees or my local mozzies..

Funny, I guess everyone has something that crawls under their skin. Centipedes don't bother me at all, I kind of think there cool. I can even pick up a rattle snake with bare hands, (and a stick). Furry spiders are a different thing though. Nasty little buggars! I'm even ok with them, till they are actually on me, then I scream like a little girl!

i simply brush them off of me..then get a kleenex or paper towel to pick them up and squeeze them..then toss um into the trash..but yet..spiders do eat flies and and other insects,as well as other spiders...

so glad we don't have anything with 8-legs that are venomous here..you should have seen me 10 yrs ago....spiders....eeeeeeeeeeeek :)
