I really love internet forums and I've been trying to sign up here for some time yet the Persnickety computer algorithm kept disallowing every name I tried...

what on Earth is wrong with my usual forum name

(citizen3rdclass)

???

We can change the program or not use one, will you volunteer to process each registration and clean up the spam on the site 24/7?

I would suggest that you not use one and let people have the freedom to use whatever name they want to when they sign up for your website.... clearly it's failing miserably if it disallowed the use of Citizen3rdclass.

I wonder how many potential members got frustrated and quit.

I've been trying to sign up for quite some time but persisted.

What exactly are you afraid of?

Have You Been besieged by spammers using logo names like drink Coke?

I will concede that since the repeal of the net neutrality rules laws there is an epic increase in Internet spam and Data Tracking opportunities

Did it say it wasn't allowed, or that someone already had that name? I'm curious about this because people have all sorts of names on this site with numbers and stuff in them, so I can't see why that particular name would be flagged by the algorithms. Glad you finally got signed up though.

Thanks...it was a real pain.

It said disallowed

I copied it directly from the popup as my new name...

I kind of like it.

Feels right

Warm Welcome from the Arizona valley folks. :USA: NOW If you are done complaining, how about an introduction? See even humans can fail to provide positive results.

Hey...thanks.

Also it erases a bunch of your fields every time the algorithm "disallows" your name.

I don't mind a rude reaction..
in fact I kinda like it, i would rather hear your honest opinion of my communication style than hear a tip toe intro.

Best way to get to know peoples real attitude.

Politicians can accept shocking amounts of money.

They sold the county to the corporations.

Prepping for long term civil breakdown, democracy is lost and corporations are in command...they will parasitize society and turn America into the 3rd world.

Hello there. I personally have not problem with your "writing" style. I prefer when people call 'em like they see 'em!
Let me know if you do want your name changed. When I do it, it shouldn't erase anything.... I hope....

Thanks...you know I kinda like it.

It grew on me.

The internet anonymity creates a lot of tough guys

Its the Same phenomenon we see in traffic.

People who are normally timid and even cowardly in face to face situations are instant tough guys whenever the perceived safety of anonymity is present.

I have been involved in public safety and MMA competition for over 20 years.

Psychology is huge in both.

G'day from Down Under.

Looked at some jobs down under.

Excellent labor laws

Privitazition is really threatening the public safety job market in the USA.

Australia seems more practical

Great stuff, especially kenpo, it's a very pragmatic style.

Get some ground work in tho

Brazillian jiu jitsu is pretty mutch your only option in most cities

Unfortunately we don't have the kind of Public sports infrastructure that the Soviet bloc created.

It still exists today.

The UFC has actively excluded the russian wrestlers for years but They Are starting to get in now

Modern Americans as a whole do VERY POOR in combat sports.

My friend and I were just discussing the practicality of various martial arts today. She has to travel to a larger, more dangerous city for work and doesn't know many techniques for self defense. The only ones offered in our area are like jiu-jitsu and kids taekwando classes.

close combat is pretty much the last option when all else has failed .
So true. hand to hand does lead to a greater chance of bodily injury. Hell a properly placed punch has been known to kill people.

situational awareness, being aware of what is going on around someone, not having ones head buried in a mobile phone screen or hearing blocked with earphones!!!:D if something dosent look right or feel right it probably isn't, as we used to say "watch your back"!!

A little CYA (Cover Your Ass) goes a long way. However, I am amazed at how many people either can't be taught situational awareness or they just refuse to learn as they seem to think, "nothing will happen to me."

And smaller people like myself tend to get the worst end of it, regardless of training. This is why I try to stay far away from people who would want to attack me.
The style I participate in does lend itself well to people of a smaller stature. There are ways of learning to protect your self against larger opponents. However, should you have the ability to carry a gun, then I would highly recommend that.
