Who is still Wearing Masks, and why?

For anyone who wears a mask based upon your decision, I support you and will fight for you to have that right. At the same time, I will fight against anyone to tries to force wearing mask. As with everything in life, there are "gray" areas. If you work in an area that deals with the general public, then I can see an employer wanting to protect their workers.

I wear a KN95 when out shopping or at my daughter's HS volleyball games. I wear a N95 + surgical mask and plus/minus face shield when at work (12 hour days). Most of our rooms are negative air flow but I've had COVID twice now and really would not like to get it again.

I work outside but have close proximity to adults and children...I was asked for the first time since this whole mask thing started to wear a mask by one of our customers. I have PTSD and masks are not my friend. I agreed to comply because I respect that others think differently but I did let them know the reason I do the job I do is because of my PTSD. I said you will see me step away and remove it and breathe. I work for a mobile petting zoo...the dad came over several times to check on me. He said I looked like a deer in headlights! And I got tipped $100...respect for different opinions sometimes does pay off! I will continue to believe that masks are not as effective as the media tries to tell us they are...most people don't know proper hygiene procedures much less how to properly wear or use a mask!

I heard that Oregon is going to make the mask mandate permanent. They've given their health department the power to make this policy. And the people here dont seem to have the will to fight back. We're visiting the state right now and still not wearing the mask, but in many areas most people have rolled over to their masters command and are wearing it. Fools.

My wife and I grew up in Oregon. The only reason that we moved away is because the invasion of Californians turned our once conservative state in to a socilist state like California. Now they're turning it in to a communist state. Most people here seem to be fine with the change, they've accepted socialism, they'll accept communism too.

The east side of the state is different - I would imagine they would fight back.
Could also see the same thing happening in WA and CA. Like OR, I am betting those on the east side of WA would rebel.
Maybe the split to join Idaho would happen?

Yes, the east side of the state is still conservative and most people there are ignoring the mandate. Problem is there are very few people in eastern Oregon to make a difference.
There has been talk of some eastern Oregon county's wanting to join Idaho. I dont think it'll ever happen though.

The Dalles is on the Columbia river east of Portland. Dallas is south of Portland in the Willamette Valley.

Yeah, 7 counties in Eastern OR have voted to join Idaho. I know Eastern WA feels the same, and in fact a few Northern CA counties. With this last census, Oregon gained a house seat and the democrats in the state legislature split Portland into 6 sections, redictricting the entire state with every district having part of Portland in it. The democrats want to make damn sure the republicans never have a say in the state. As I mentioned before, in 2016, half the roughly 3000 counties in America were red, half were blue. In 2020, there was only about 60 blue counties (the large blue cities), and the rest red. That's why I say, when we split the country, we should just build fences around those 60 blue cities.

People who cite the "water droplet" nonsense are literally science-illiterate. Pressure, vacuum, velocity, and surface area render that argument as pure rubbish.

Is your mask soaking wet at the end of the day? No. It is not. Why? Pressure, vacuum, velocity, and surface area.

Where's all the water? People tell me "it evaporates". So the suspended virus army was freed to continue into your nose? That literally ends their participation in the conversation. They shake their head and declare "it's better than nothing". How? How is something that does nothing, better than nothing?

This isn't science. It's religion. And anyone who dares blaspheme will be cut off from society or taken to camps.
