Last night I had some beef jerky and a cup of cherry jello.
I made calf liver with sautéed onions, succotash, mashed potatoes and gravy
I'm on a low calorie diet now. I will go back on low carb after Christmas.
Arcticdude /radiogoon.. what's up with the beef jerkey and dessert combo guys? Who knew?
Meatloaf, mashed potatoes, gravy and baby green peas tonight.

Meat and sweet. It covers all the important food groups. The only thing that could make it better would be a plate of bacon.
I get it...kinda like ice cream n tater chips...salty n sweet! Good stuff!

We had an easy meal of Italian sausage soup, that I had previously canned.
Grilled cheese sandwiches with 3 cheeses, (Dubliner cheddar, American and a bit of fresh grated Parmesan) on homemade Brioche bread. Really is very tasty! By coating the bread with some mayonnaise and then frying in butter, the bread gets very crispy!

We have to take the grandkids home tomorrow. So today I'm making a pot of chili that we'll take with us on the 400 mile trip. I've got some leftover smoked brisket to start with and some big chunks of bacon. Of course no beans will ever touch my chili.

So glad I put the solar powered light up in the grill/smoker area. Extends grilling time and I get to watch the sunset.

Ice cold bartlett pears in syrup and cottage cheese, couple pieces of sauteed shrimp that Larry made earlier while I was gone to get groceries. I was too tired too cook last night or maybe too lazy, not sure which, but that hit the spot.
We eating chicken and andouille gumbo. With white rice and potatoe salad.
I made up meatballs to put in freezer today, used up 10 lb. ground beef. So, spaghetti was the dinner call..popped open 2 quarts of spaghetti sauced I had previously made and canned, threw in some of the meatballs, salad and garlic bread on side..fresh parm. Cheese on top, pretty good!
