i had thought about the drought(s) getting worse..but OH MY GOD!!! thats gotta be at least 100 times worst then what i figured..and all the folks in the hard hit areas will be heading for places that DOES have water,of any amount.and there goes a great deal of the wildlife as well.

it even makes where i live look better..and we've had droughts as well...LOL

They didn't bother reporting that California is normally dry and that the 20th century was the wettest in 500 years, California is returning to its natural state in the 21st century.. Nothing but more excuses to jack the citizens... I don't want more liberals in Washington state

liberals in Washington state sounds better then here..but then again, the moon sounds even better.

The moon is too close, putting them all on a ship and sending them to the elusive planet NIBIRU though for educational purposes before they embark on the journey we can send them to the sun for an education in global warming and for a special treat, everyone gets a free citarum water bottle (BPA free) specially filled straight from the citarum river, only a very few places on earth can match the citarum. ;)

OK according to our media California has screwed up somewhat, not only is it in a mega drought and used up most of its stored water, but apparently its also used up most of its reserves in underground aquifers etc and they now reckon that region will run out of water in about a year.

One other " expert" on the radio also warned that when / if the massive ground water aquifers refill it could trigger lots of quakes.

I read one article where the aquifer is about 50% drained now. Because of this the ground has started sinking, up to a foot a year. The real problem is the aquifer was filled during the ice age, and is not replenished anymore. When it's gone it's gone. All the farming they are doing in the deserts is pumping it out at amazing rates. It's a tough situation.

Regarding one of your huge aquifers ( something like the Oghalla it was called) I read that over extraction was causing salt water to start creeping into the aquifer from the coastal areas, that in itself could bugger up water supplies in future generations.

Either way in the end the chaps up in the pacific NW and atlantic NE are going to need to build a border to keep millions of refugees out fleeing from the south.

far as im concerned.the droughts and the low water levels and all has already caused the price of food and everything else to start go up..and my question is when will the prices of everything be multiplied by least 5 compared to right now?...

Yeah I read on craigslist today 4 posts by folks selling farm fresh eggs $5 a dozen. I am still getting $2 a dozen and may have to go up to $3 a dozen. I can't imagine selling them for $5 a dozen yet. But maybe later this year.

i haven't bought any farm fresh eggs..but im thinking the prices on the eggs, might have a lot to do with location..

I never thought about craigslist for food before. It's a great idea for small farms to sell some of their extra produce.

I have my fertile eggs on there, but when I saw the prices of eating eggs I almost freaked out. I know a few chicken forums say about $4 per dozen. Personally I hav never gone over $2 a dozen, unless if it's for hatching eggs, and those sell between $10 and $50 per dozen depending on breeds. But eating eggs?? To me a couple of bucks is plenty.

Oregon Governor Tom McCall had a sign posted on the Oregon California border that said 'We hope you will enjoy your visit' eluding to the fact visit but don't stay in the 60s/70s it seems only the liberal californians move up here in the pacific northwest king county being a primary example, there is a whole lot of resentment in southwest and eastern washington.

The solution isn't exactly revolutionary.

Desalinization plants.
Same as they've done in the Middle East for decades.

These states have simply dragged their feet on it, for ages.

We have a similar problem here, during cold winters. The farmers pump a ton of water out of the ground to put an ice layer on crops, and we get sinkholes here and there because of it. Nearly impossible to prove too, and you really have to check your insurance policy close to be sure to have coverage. (we do).
