The P-38

[Colt 1911]

I was fiddling with a P-38 can opener today, trying to figure out how to keep it from opening up in my pocket. I dawned on me that a safety pin would do the trick. I'm probably not the first person to do this, but it sure works. And the safety pin has its own utility. Other folks have used a paper clip, shrink wrap or a rubberband, but I like this one the best.

I would not leave home without one. I used them in the the field when I was in the military and have a draw full of them now. Carry one on my keychain.

Good thinken Colt, duel purpose with the safty pin too!
I could definitly use a few of these lol my freaken house openers wont work and i use my badass pairen knife to open cans! Im thinken about putting it in my bug bag....... Once i get a freaken opener that works lol
