A simple PDF of basic info on how to read a terrain map and find direction using a compass. This is a great PDF to place in your other families members bags, if you are the only one that knows how to use terrain maps and compass. While my kids are good at using a compass and reading a map, who knows what will happen when panic strikes...so I reduced them to 70% image, then laminated them and then stapled them to the laminated maps that I have in their BOB's.
