Most of us should probably quit our jobs, sell our homes and most of the useless things we own, buy a fifth wheel, bind and gag our spouse, throw them in the truck and move out into the nowhere lands.

The problem for most, is you still have to pay the bills. You still have livestock that needs vetting, health issues that need doctoring and most people do not have the skills or physical ability to repair everything in a home themselves. Family members; children, grandchildren have similar issues.

Some do not have spouses that are nearly as convinced that the shumer is about to hit the fan, do you divorce your spouse? Or find a way to do the best you can? Everyone has a line as to what sacrifices they are willing to make.

Everyone’s ability to prep, and their situation is a little different. I don’t think it means necessarily that they aren’t serious. They probably wish they could do more but, get defensive because they can't.

Not placing the above scenario at anyone's feet , but this is why long range planning pays off . Realizing that I needed to move to a more isolated and survivable location for when SHTF walked out of my paid for home ,, abandoned it , quite my job and moved my spouse and children " before " they set roots in an undesirable location . Three of my kids now live directly on our survival grounds and with one living only about 10 miles away . Later I burned the house I left to the ground before some vagrant moved in . Soon after I burned it down Covid came upon the scene and evacuating squatters became difficult . My premonition of the future proved correct again .

The above statement assumes competence by the US "intelligence" and security apparatus.
I do not make that assumption.

A case-in-point: For many years (more likely decades), you would lose your US security clearance if it became known you were homosexual.
That policy is an open invitation for blackmail, and therefore weak security.
Australia had a much more sane security policy: We don't care what your sexual orientation is, just don't lie about it.

I could give other examples of silly US security policies, but they are bit too esoteric.

When Zelensky has burned up all the Ukrainian men in the meat grinder against Russia and there are no Ukrainians left, NATO will very certainly go into Ukraine.
European governments and media say every day that Ukraine will defeat Russia and must defeat Russia, if Russia succeeds in defeating Ukraine, our governments and NATO will have their backs against the wall.
Too much money, weapons and mercenaries have been wasted in this irrelevant black hole so it is not possible to simply go back to business as usual. The peoples here would send these governments into the desert because they have wasted billions of taxpayers' money for nothing, while their own economy has been destroyed and the middle class has been thrown out on the street by rising inflation, which is already happening.

If NATO goes into Ukraine, there will be thousands of dead on both sides within a short time, we would then probably still have about 24 hours to pack the suitcase and jump into the bunker. I personally consider the probability as very high that NATO goes in there when you see that the despot Zelensky is subject.
The Polish government has already confirmed that the Polish army will go into Ukraine if Kiev is defeated by Russia, these idiots will willingly drag the world into the abyss for their personal fanaticism.

I read the article and think it's bull...(what petraeus presented). I agree with what most of the folks in the thread below the gateway pundit article posted . I know nothing about military war tactics but it seems pretty illegitimate to me, for a former general to publicly make such statements/plans public without some sort of motive for pushing false information. I.e. "poking the bear".

Simply doesn't make sense to me, but then most of that war and our involvement doesn't make sense to me either.

What kind of counteroffensive is the idiot hoping for? Zelensky burned most of the men of the Ukraine blindly in Bakhmut for nothing, the Ukrainian army bled dry. As I have read, the corrupt Ukrainian regime is now recruiting women as well.

It's possible that the Ukraine will start a counter-offensive, but there are many opponents and if the Ukrainians don't make it, the country has failed and the Russians will then completely overrun it, which would have serious consequences for Joe and Europe because then you many weapons and money would have burned senselessly.

As for Joe, according to some non-Russian media reports, there are more than 20,000 Elite US soldiers on the eastern border in Poland, I don't know if Joe ordered it that way or knows about it, but there's a lot going on there at the moment.
If these 20,000 US soldiers go into the Ukraine and take part in the counteroffensive, Joe will bring World War 3 home into the country for all of you and for us within 24 hours.

Tanks are a thing of the past, here in Europe there is already talk of fighter jets, the Russians will let the stuff go and transport it to Russia and analyze it, that's how military secrets are called.

The more the Russians gain the upper hand, the more material European governments throw into this conflict. Our governments are more concerned about Ukraine than their own people because our governments know that you have gone too far and there is no turning back or else you will hang if the Russians win.
For those in power here there is only one thing left, Ukraine must win against Russia at all costs, if not the politicians would have to flee here, which is why they will probably end up sending NATO soldiers to Ukraine if they lose, and so then the big WW3 is started.

As long the whole NATO and the EU deny any ways for an diplomatic way and going ahead to support the corrupt Ukraine as long there will be no peace.
And the West can't step back without loosing face - neither Russia will do the next few years. And don't forget China / Taiwan. But be sure the Chinese won't follow the european advises. They smile about. And it's may not the best idea to provocate the chinese dragon.

At this point any negotiated peace seems very remote . I sometimes pi-s people off trying to get them to prep to a level of facing what is probably about to happen . Some people just prefer to deny . Unfortunately the deniers thus unprepared will likely be my enemy and I have had enough of combat and don't relish having to shoot my neighbors or have my attack dog tear their bodies apart . Dark days are ahead .

This could be a very big self-goal of Ukraine, until now there was such an agreement with Russia/Ukraine and the West not to attack government leaders. Russia's response to this will be very tough, it may well be that Russia now attacks the government district in Kiev with heavy weapons, many Russian politicians are currently demanding a tough response, there are also some voices calling for a tactical nuclear strike against Ukrainian troops and politicians.

I don't think there will be a tactical nuclear strike at the moment, but something big will happen. Zelensky denies that Ukraine has anything to do with it, at the same time the Ukrainian post office publishes a new stamp with the picture of a burning Kremlin.
At the moment there are reports that Ukraine has started its counteroffensive, if these reports are true it will be a damn hot night and this regional war could degenerate into a real war if the Russians officially declare war on Ukraine now.

The situation is getting more and more dangerous, almost all EU countries have no weapons systems or ammunition for self-defense, most EU countries currently say they could protect their country with their own weapons stocks between a few hours to a maximum of 3 days if there was an attack.
The idiots in the EU left everything to Ukraine without thinking, and Idiot Joe probably made a similar mistake.

This is currently a chess against USA and Europe, should the Russians or Chinese now have the feeling to strike a blow you will encounter very weakened opponents.
