Is it legal to buy swords on line? I've thought about buying one, but don't have a lot of local places that would have them. I would like any recommendations about them from anyone that is knowledgeable. I'm looking for something middle of the line as I don't intend to try out for samurai's are us, but don't want a cheap piece of junk either. Maybe something to hang on the wall, that could be used in an emergency. I'm not sure I want to fight someone that close, but if your guns run out of ammo, I like a backup.

Cold Steel makes good stuff, and this one is a steal at $50. It's called a machete, but if you read the comments, it's basically damn near the same as the company's 1917 Cutlass (which goes for $290). I doubt you'll find a better deal on an actual battle ready weapon than this, I know I haven't.

and yeah, perfectly legal to buy online.

Thanks, I really like it, especially for the price. Wish it was a little longer but great for the price.

Any longer and you sacrifice speed. Its a great fighter for the long fight but it's not my favorite. Length is good in an open fight but in close this would turn out to be a problem. 24 inches is a lot to move in a fight. I prefer a smaller sword.

I just picked up the cutlass machete for 15.99, this will be my 3rd one. I've given them as gifts to good friends and fellow warriors. I usually strip the paint and blue the steel. Every friend has used it to defend themselves and swear by its make. These friends do not have the benefit of living in this great country.
I prefer the nimble jungle machete but I'm competent enough with a sword to be able to safely close distance quickly. Not many are.

Look for them on amazon. You could probably buy both for 50.00

Order both from amazon and it'll be free shipping. Just make sure you buy the ones that amazon is selling.

These are mine!!
