The infrastructure hits just keep coming.

I do agree that our nations infrastructure needs addressed, and has been for a long dang time. They should of put in a law mandating real maintenance and upgrades programs, probably from the moment a bridge, railway, port etc. was finished. Likely decades ago, or just after WWII.
The grid is in dire need of an upgrade.

Now, trying to argue that childcare is infrastructure . . .

In California we had to pay for each bridge, overpass, etc., to be updated and reinforced twice to withstand earthquakes. San Francisco actually imposed a sales tax on the rest of us to fix one of their damaged bridges. Why can't other states fix their own infrastructure?

Just more over reaction by government. The DOT is replacing every bridge in our state. Many are less than 20 years old. The ancients built bridges and aqueducts 2000 years ago that many are still in use today. We can't build anything now days to last 20 years.
This infrastructure BS has become a golden goose for government. They keep changing the standards so rebuilding everything will continue forever.
