Of course Austin. . . The most liberal city we got. Sure they will all fit in nicely. Texas is eventually going to turn into another California. Dang I hope I'm long before that happens.

Austin: ugh. Decades ago lived there, and it was a liberal sh*thole back then. Have to drive through it a couple of times a year... it's far worse than back then. You might have trouble seeing the difference in the number of homeless in Austin vs San Fran. All political officials are democrats. It's a blue drop of urine in an otherwise red state. Tax rates like you wouldn't believe, I think the 'average' house pays $10-15k per year in property taxes? So west coast liberals should feel right at home there.

Yep, my daughter lived in Austin briefly, until the snowflakes in her office got her fired. It was her first job out of college.

While we were visiting her in Austin they were talking about how as part of the "Keep Austin Weird Campaign" they didn't want to do anything about the perpetual traffic jam on I-35 through the middle of town.
