I thought it was more to do with EU interference trying to get Ukraine to join their" happy little club " which eventually made Russia invade, Ukraine was getting too cosy with the West.

The whole Russia - Ukraine War is very unfortunate in my mind and I do not believe I understand it. BUT, I do believe it was Obama's meddling in Ukraine and overthrow of a government there, trying to get Ukraine in NATO that was the proximate cause of the war.

The way I read it that it was the bloody EU trying to encourage the Ukraine to move away of the Russian sphere of influence and move towards Europe and even to join NATO. The EU has ideas about EMPIRE, I personally believe the EU is just an extention of Albert Speers 1930s plans to create a Greater Pan European German super state along with France. They want the Ukraine, Norway, Greenland and Switzerland by hook or by crook into their new reich.

As others point out in only 70 years its gone from a COMMON MARKET of 4 European nations to the European Economic Community, then the EEC, then the EC to the EU (I'm just waiting for it to become the USSR or Fifth Reich) and 27 nations. They are now building their own army under German command as well.

The EU fooked up in its interference in Yugoslavia as it broke up leading to genocide as the EU troops stood by and watched, And the EU caused trouble in Eastern Ukraine triggering Russia into seizing the Crimea ( though Crimea was actually russian until it was gifted to the Ukraine by the soviets. If there is another world war you can be sure the EU triggers it.
