mind your buiness
as the Title suggests I'M leaving society with no ones permission.

I'm here merely to get some advice to make sure that I'VE made to prepared enough in advance.
1.) Foraging: I'VE Realized with some assistance from others that it is possible to live of the land based on a diet of what is considered actually more edible and healthy than what is sold at the supermarkets. This diet consists of mainly foraged leaves grass insects that do not produce worms and other edible sources that require no effort to forage and no effort to sustain yourself for long periods of time.
2.) That living off the grid literally requires very basic knowledge.

3.) When society economically collapse that laws are going to be utterly pointless.because other countries are going to attack America in the attempt at a power grab where is the most isolated place in America to live that most people would not seek to visit?

Also, if your a blue pill please don't respond with the following:
your not going to get laid.
Its hard to live on your own or any of that other bullshit that really doesn't make sense.
Thanks to anyone who can offer any wisdom.

After the SHTF, the starving hordes will be eating each other for breakfast.

But first they'll be eating every plant and mushroom in sight...and dying horrible deaths as a result...
Belladonna leaves (Deadly Nightshade) could be mistaken for basil or mint for example.
Immature Destroying Angel mushrooms could be mistaken for puffballs.
Death by mushroom is not a pretty way to die.
Eating poke salad that is not properly prepared results in respiratory failure, but first comes the intestinal cramps, vomiting and bloody diarrhea.

To the OP,
What zone do you live in?
What hot, cold, wet weather gear do you have?
What is you planned shelter?
What other skill sets do you have to help you live off the land?

Foraging is an ancient skill. It also called hunter/gathering. It gradually went out of style as farming became more popular. Very low rates of cancer and heart disease or obesity. The downside being people rarely living into their 40's. The most common cause of death being infectious disease and malnutrition.

We actually have accounts of a tribe's transition from hunter/gathering to farming near the end of the 18th Century. In the 1790s there was a severe drought in the South, which at the time was the "Southwestern Frontier" for Americans. There followed a period of vicious intertribal war over the scarce resources. Although the Choctaw tribe came out victorious in most of their wars with the other tribes, with the game about all gone, and their normal food sources depleted, the Choctaws were destitute and borrowed money from British agents to survive. When they went to American Fort St. Stephens for help, they were given food blankets and clothing, no charge (and no they weren't infected with smallpox) Then they sent representatives to Washington to ask for help and to offer land in exchange for help paying their debt to the British. We even have Pushmataha's account of his meeting with Thomas Jefferson, which resulted in Jefferson sending agents to teach them farming and weaving. The US paid off their debt to the British in full.
Decades later, when Tecumseh came around trying to drum up support in his war against the Americans, Pushmataha reminded the Choctaws of the Americans' generosity when they were in need.
They seem to have left that part out of the history books... 🙄
