In 2017, IRMA gave us major flooding in our area. Fortunately, we did OK, but the field behind our shopping center (and adjacent to our facility) was literally a lake for weeks. Now, because of new housing construction - it seems to be everywhere, we have significant additional run-off to worry about. Hopefully IAN will not sit on us and dump such a huge excess of water that it puts us in jeopardy. Also different from 2017, we have way more rooftop solar, so there’s a pretty good chance we’ll have some wind damage. All our solar modules have 3 rails, wind deflectors, plus ballast, so I’m hoping for the best. We may have to switch to generators for a week or however long our power is likely to be down. Solar is great most of the time, but we can’t run solar if there are any issues with damaged modules or wiring. The current those modules produce together can be really dangerous if it’s not all working properly. Always have a couple backups!

Good that you are not taking the brunt of it this time but, still a lot that can go sideways. Best wishes and stay safe!

Looks like Ft. Myers Beach is getting pummeled.

They have arrested looters already. I don't have all the cites from news releases on them here, but at least some were illegals..wait til a homeowner shoots one of their sorry arses (in their home) and see the media fools and dems srill go bizzurk, especially if they are of color or illegal...
