My Wife hears about people going to a nearby Amish Bakery to by Hummingbird cake so She wanted to bake one Herself . It has bananas, pineapple, pecans. It was good but rich and filling .

I love Humminghird cake. In fact won first place up at my last job doing one, but boss man may have been a little prejudice. Not saying that was a good thing, but I got a $50 gift card. He was my main reasons for quitting.

You shouldn't knock it till you try it . The bananas are not an overpowering taste and makes the cake moist.

Nope. I had a surgery when I was a wee tyke, and the anti-biotic post surgery goop they gave me was like banana flavored snot. I used to literally throw it back up.
Every since, when I even smell a banana, I drool, but not the good drool, the "I'm about to hard puke" drool.
