A big hello from Wales!

I'm really new to all this as in only just started to hear and read about prepping so don't really know where to start to be honest.

I have just started my first full time job so will have money coming in soon to be able to make a start on being more prepared and self reliant.

Any advice on what I should start with more than welcome!

Welcome from Finland,
learn new skills (mostly free),water and food is good start,if you get some stuff, make sure it's good, cheap is usually not, take baby steps
when starting this and ask,pls ask questions and read different threads here, tons on free advice and info.

Thanks for the welcome!

I am going into the plumbing trade with my father so will pick up some useful skills in my job soon.

I was thinking of maybe doing an evening course in carpentry manly because I find it interesting would this be a good skill for prepping also?

I will start reading some of the other threads here and get more knowledge as I think that will be the key in all this.

Howdy from a Texan .... and welcome to the forum and family...there's quite a few knowledgeable folks here that'll gladly tell ya what you need to know,or at least point ya in the right direction and/or give ya a good idea or 2..and by all means jump right on in with any replies you have on a topic.

Plumbing and construction are great skills to have.and so is electrical. Roofing.

Warm Welcome from the Arizona valley folks. :USA: Ask and You shall receive. This is a great site of information and many willing members who will share their knowledge.

I agree that carpentry and plumbing will be very useful if things go bad. If they don’t, you’ll be on the way to a great career.

As others have said, there is a lot of great information here already, so look around and see what you find, and don’t be afraid to ask questions!

Oh yes, welcome from the southeastern US.

Hi everyone

Had my first day on site today was really interesting (and exhausting!) Going to learn a lot from all the different tradesmen on site made me realise just how much there is to know I've got a long way to go I think!

Thank you for all the advise so far. I have decided to make a list of what I am prepping for and then work out what I will need for each one of those scenarios if that makes sense.

Get my first pay in a week I can't wait!

Thanks for the welcome

Not been online for a bit been busy with work but have been thinking about my scenarios I'm prepping for and will be creating a new thread soon for what I think might happen and why.

Hope to have all your input on it

@Ghosted Trust me, you WILL get our input. ROFLMAO We are not a shy bunch. :D
