Hey all, DNinja here. I'm 26, and have just recently (as of September 2012) moved out here to Hawaii. Now I know some people might think its kinda stupid to prep while being on an island, but I've thought about that. So yeah some background on me. I came here with my girlfriend from Michigan looking for work. I work security for a local shopping center.

Recently, I have been reading a few articles online about U.S. and strategic global nuclear defense (or something along those lines) against Russia and China. I'm sure we all remember WWII and Pearl Harbor. So yeah, I wouldn't say I'm worried, but I'd rather be safe than sorry.

Any assistance/suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forum. An island wouldn't be my first choice, but if it works for you, great. It is unreachable if air and most boat traffic is gone. What I would worry about is the fact that damn near everything you need is imported from the main land.
