True. Somewhere I read that they found some shot up electrical equipment in the middle of the last big fire in California. That’s not exactly a tough to pull off act.

Don’t know about there, but there is no security on the power grid here unless it’s a nuke plant...

Conspiracy time:

If you were PG&E (Pacific Gas & Electric) facing billions (yes with a capital B) in fines, law suits, It sure would be real convenient if a bunch of their equipment was found with bullet holes and terrorists got blamed. PG&E is already facing issues about lying about gas line inspections, a side trip down terrorist ally would make a very nice diversion.

Up here even a bad winter storm will have power knocked out in secluded areas for weeks. Add in an attack on the grid in the winter months and the grid can easily be down for months.
