Hi all,

My name is Amy, I'm 17 and have just got into the idea of prepping.

Any tips for a rookie?

howdy .... and welcome to the forum and family...there's quiet a few knowledgable folks here that'll gladly tell ya what you need to know,or at least point ya in the right direction and/or give ya a good idea or 2..and by all means jump right on in with any replys you have on a topic.and start new topics if/when needed....

Hello and welcome to the forums! I've been here for awhile and I still feel very much like a rookie :). The tip Ive got for ya is to dont try and do everything all at once cuz youll wear yourself right out. A little at a time and youll do just fine.

A Warm Welcome!

Take the advise of Mahogany, slowly but surely. I too add a can or two, a kg of pasta or rice, some stuff, everytime I go to the supermarket and over time, it adds up. If you have extra moolah, then purchase a bit more. Set milestones for amounts of stock (stock for 3 days, stock for 1 week, stock for 1 month). Stock what you use and eat.

Water is another thing, find means and ways to store and have filters on standby.

Learn skills, etc.... there are a lot but pace yourself to avoid burn out.
