Hard Tack

Not sure if this has been posted on before but thought I'd start up a post for this wonder bread.

I'm starting to prepare some for my hike this month and it is just so tastey I had to share..




Anyone with hardtack recipes please post.

These ones have salt protein powder, sugar and corridander

and unfortunately it is being eaten as if it is a cookie...... rather than hardtack..

Uh no recipes here but I do know of a company that makes hard tack crackers. The company has been making them since the civil war. (minus the worms)
Its called the G.H Bent co. the website is www.hardtackcrackers.com its reasonably priced and they sort of taste like a really really hard saltine cracker (without the salt).
