Warm Welcome from the Arizona valley folks. :USA:

Welcome from Germany, I'm out of Texas, but been here for 41 years. Thank you for being proud enough to mention being a Christian. Hope you find lots of info and you are right about the end times. We are preparing for something like that. The pagans do not believe in anything but their prepping, the unsure believe in food and water, and the christians believe that they will leave a full bunker/cellar of food/water/clothes and read bibles back for those who survive and find these empty and full bunkers...Live free, GP

Hey all, thanks for the welcoming replies!

@GaRp58 I think you're referring to the "rapture" doctrine. Specifically the "pre-tribulation rapture" doctrine where some Christians believe they are going to be leaving these end times early, a get out of persecution free card if you will. Sadly many don't study the word themselves but have itching ears and believe anything that sounds pleasing to them. I have a ministry website of sorts where I document through scripture the deception that is the "pre trib rapture".
You can view it here if you like: http://gffg.info/Jesus/RaptureDeception.html

Thank you for you side of the story which is your truth. Each of us has a different job as a Christian. Each of us also has a different view of our own truth. I have performed healings myself. I have seen 2 demons after prayer. I have watched my niece go from being released from a hospital having intestinal cancer, to go home and die. The whole family prayed for her and she now has 2 daughters and is quite alive after 11 years. My nephew was shot in the face with a blank gun and went blind in one eye. After a few weeks, there was an operation planned and we blew it off because the family prayed for him and his eye was healed one day before the OP, he now has 120% vision in the eye. I myself have found that there is a step over and beyond believing; is it called KNOWING. I will not try to explain this, if you have found your truths, be happy. But as stated in your link about deception, Satan does what he can to confuse the believers and non-believers alike. Do not ever forget, NOTHING is impossible with God. Therefore, it is quite possible that God is able to/ could/ would take those who love and serve him, away from this world before they suffer anything such as a martyr death...
Be quite careful about that which you believe to be your truths and that which IS THE TRUTH which is revealed to NO MAN, only the FATHER knows.
You forgot the passage in the Bible where "there will be two men working together and one will be taken and the other left behind; two women will be washing in the river and one will be taken the other left behind....." If you do believe in God as you say, do not put any limits on him!! Live free, GP

Uhm... Decided to wrote you a joke. And I'm seriously belive in wisdom in that joke. Here it is: there was massive flood over the country and some people escape to the roofs of their homes. One of them believes in God and he prays "oh please God save me!" And the boat with rescue came "come on! We will save you" and man said "no, I believe in God and He will save me". So he wait watching boat goes to another home and helps others and he pray again "please God save me, don't let me die here" Another boat came with help, people invite this men on board but he refused because he believe in God. There was a third boat with rescue team offering help but he refused again and started praying. The night came and water level rise so the man drowned. His soul enter the Heavens Gate and he seen Almighty God and said "dear God, I put my trust in You! Why You not saved me??" And the God replied " I send three boats with rescue teams but you refused so what was I suppose to do?"
Believe, pray and preppere yourself. Hoping that I not offend anyone :)

@GaRp58 To be quite frank I don't believe you and I think you are exactly who you are speaking about concerning the devil doing what he can to confuse people from the truth. I don't believe God is giving out the gifts of healing in these end times. There's no need for tongues and miracles. The only reason it was done in the beginning was to get people to believe. There is an abundance of proof that it's just not necessary in these times.

Also I never said some people won't escape death. Some will. Scripture tells us this. What I am saying is that this "rapture" event happens on the last day as scripture tells us "the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them...".
So there is a rapture. The debate is about the timing. I have proved with scripture it happens on the "last day".
Which means it is likely very few will make it to that point before dying/being martyred.

@YerbaMate What's your point though? What is the boat that you think I'm not getting in?

I'm not thinking of you AustinFromOregon. After words you wrote I have no foundation to think that you missing something. Just post a reflexion about faith and everyone can think through the essence.

Good morning Austin, it does not matter what you believe. It does not matter at all what you understand, think, say, read or wish for. You have misunderstood all of what YerbaMate said in his little joke. Nobody said you have to get into anything....Nobody said you must believe, think or say anything. JESUS SAID: DO AS I DID UNTO YOU!
----even Einstein understood---He said: " it is not what you say that changes the world, it is WHAT YOU DO!
Even if you don't believe God is giving gifts of healing, two people God healed with my hands DO BELIEVE...go tell them you don't believe.
It is not what you believe, is is what you do. JESUS said you will recognise a healthy tree by its fruits, a tree with no fruit will be thrown into the fire! Where are your fruits?
Yerba, good joke and well said for someone who taught themselves english. I heard another way, the man wanted to win the lottery and prayed every month for a chance to win but did not win. He finally met God and asked why he did not win,,,God answered: maybe you should give me a chance AND BUY A LOTTERY TICKET! Live free,GP

In my younger days, I thought I had it all figured out about eschatology (end times, Revelation, Daniel, etc.). It was all so clear...or so I thought.

Then one day I realized I didn't really understand it all at all.
