Corporate Goodyear came out with a very weak statement saying it's not the corporate policy, but didn't reject it either.

The kickback is coming fast and hard. I've seen people post that their fleet is changing to Firestone. There was a video of a tire store owner taking down his "Goodyear" sign on a wall.

But my favorite quote: "Took my tires back to Goodyear. They were pulling hard left."

I can see this causing an immediate 30% loss in sales. Wow, corporate suicide. No matter what statement GY comes out with, the damage is done. I doubt most BLM supporters buy tires. And a few people may slash some tires (not many, most conservatives aren't like that).

Amazing how some companies will cut their nose off to spite their face. No matter I have always liked firestone transformers tires for my service vans anyway, Goodyear can go to China like the rest of the crummy tire makers since the love the extreme leftist so much. They won’t be getting any of my money. I hate to feel this way but we have to stand for something. #American values matter

I buy between 8 - 12 tires every year for my personal vehicles and equipment. None will be Goodyear.

I really don't know which is worse; the stance they are taking or the hypocrisy they are showing in taking it. Either way I will never buy another Goodyear product, and I will send correspondence to the company to let them know.

I've been buying Goodyear mudgrips for many years. Now I have to figure out what brand to get.
